Christiane Delatour
Physiotherapist

Christiane Delatour is a qualified physiotherapist with over 35 years’ experience, 20 of those have been working alongside shoulder orthopaedic consultants; she also holds an MSc in sports and exercise science and a Masters in manual therapy.

Her first appointment following qualification was working at Southmead Hospital where she worked for 10 years with consultants and patients for lower limb and knee rehabilitation.

Christiane then worked in Australia at the Albert Park Sports Injury Clinic, a ski resort and even at the Sydney Olympics!

Upon her return to the UK, she worked at Southampton and Paulton hospitals before working at the RUH, Bath.

Christiane now focuses her time working with NHS and Private specialist shoulder orthopaedic consultants and patients together in a holistic approach to treatment and rehabilitation. Her areas of expertise are in the stabilisation of unstable shoulders due to trauma or atraumatic causes; rotator cuff repair using the anterior deltoid programme, fracture rehabilitation and post operative shoulder replacement rehabilitation and therapy.

She does this through a hands-on approach, using trigger points, and assessing how your hobbies, lifestyle and body shape relate to your shoulder use so that your treatment can be tailored to your own situation.

As well as all of this, Christane has taught both undergraduates and post graduate physiotherapists, at Bath University Sport Exercise programme and at UWE.

Out of her busy practice, Christiane is a busy mother to triplets.
