A little finger Dupuytren's fasciectomy (release) has been performed, but the end joint (DIP joint) is still i.e. will not bend |
The dorsal transverse incision is marked |
The skin is spread to expose the underlying extensor (straightening) tendon |
The extensor tendon is carefully divided |
Full bending (flexion) is regained |
Extension is also maintained |
